IMPORTANT: If you are a  public program "required" to look exactly like our campus website, please contact Jason Gruenwald (PIO)

1) Your Site Category (current number of sites)
As you create a 'site', you're asked to identify its category using any of the following choices. Use commas if you want to list yours under more than one category.

2) Your Site BANNER
Use either the default SSCC face/logo that's automatically added to your site when you create it -- or -- edit and use either of the two SSCC banner(s) files located at the bottom of this web page for the top of your SSCC Web Apps site


(The two .psd 'photoshop' files you can save/edit are attached at the bottom of this web page for you to use on your website.
 
Please contact TLC Coordinator, Sara Newman for assistance editing these background/banners for yourself, if needed


3) Content 

  • Do not use any content material that is available on the main campus website, in the printed quarterly schedule, in a brochure created by the college or in the District catalog. Duplicating sources results in confusion.
     
  • Create links to any information you want to include, but are not responsible for, on the appropriate web page(s) on the main campus website. For example, campus calendar, maps and directions, specific course information, etc.
     
  • Make a commitment to maintain your website material every quarter. Advise: It's best to have more than one person in charge of its information if you're a department, program or service.

4) Copyright
You must 'own' your photos and material  (to learn more about copyright, visit the following links):

To use photos of identifiable people on your web pages, have the identifiable people complete the following Model Release (PDF). Please keep a copy for yourself and give the original to your SSCC Public Information Office (RSB154).

To help us maintain a connection provide the following two links on your SSGA website (see the navigation bar to the left on this site for an example of how you can provide this)

    2. SSCC Disclaimer
Create a "Contact Info" web page. Include e-mail and phone number of person(s) responsible for your website.

7) Notification

Notify Sara Newman (TLC/DL/SSGA Coordinator) at SLNewman@sccd.ctc.edu  and Jason Gruenwald (our PIO website manager) at JGruenwald@sccd.ctc.edu of your website if you are a campus employee using SSGA to publicize your department, program, service, etc. when it's ready for prime time.
