What happens in Movers Class?

This class is for children who are 6  months but less than 12 months old by  August 31st of 2013. 

We know that there is absolutely no GOOD time for a baby class—someone is always napping!   We find that we begin the year slowly then gear up.  During this year babies turn into toddlers and generally move from two naps to one.

That means that the class will grow and change as the babies grow and change. Linda and I are experienced team of teachers and enjoy working with each other and with you and your baby.

The “schedule” of the day is flexible but always contains:

• Time to chat with each other and get to know other parents.
• Time to ask teachers questions individually and with the group, to check in to see how the week is going.
• There are two teachers –technically, one for adults, one for children but we work together as a team.
• An opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other.
• Great way to make friends with people who are learning a similar parenting philosophy.
• A fun space for babies/toddlers to observe or play---depending on their ages and personalities.
• Can you imagine your little one standing at the water table to play or paint at the easel?
• Discussion about the latest information around child development and child discipline & guidance and many more topics.
• Music, singing and dancing.

What happens in the Infant class?

This class is for parents with babies that first, very special year of life. 

We have a 6 month age span but we work hard to meet the needs of everyone. 

That means that the class will grow and change as the babies grow and change.

Janet and I are an experienced team of teachers who enjoy working with each other and with you and the babies.

The “schedule” of the day is flexible but always contains:

• Time to chat with each other, get to know other parents, see that your baby is the cutest in the room.
• Time to ask Janet and I questions individually and with the group, to check in to see how the week is going.
• An opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other.
• A fun space for babies to observe or play---depending on their ages and personalities.
• Discussion about the latest information around child development and….as the year goes on…..child guidance.
• Music, singing and dancing.

What is the cost for either class?

Isn't this part of co-op preschools?

We are part of the SSCC Co-op Preschool system but we are not very co-op-y!

There are a few "jobs" we need help with but mostly you come and be nurtured.

There are no evening meetings.

Am I committing for the whole year?

We know that baby brings lots of changes.   Although most people continue, sometimes people need to drop in the middle of the year. We start  Sept. 12th and end May 29th.

We go month to month.   We hold your spot, and you pay tuition, every month until you tell us differently.  (In other words, people attend regularly and do not drop in)  We usually have a waiting list!
