There are multiple opportunities to take Composition (ENGL&101 and ENGL&102) and Literature courses online. There is a list of current online courses on SSCC's eLearning website.
Online instruction is a convenient way to complete courses necessary for transfer, but be sure you are a good candidate for online instruction reviewing Washington Online's requirements questionnaire. For more information on succeeding in an online class, read over South Seattle Community College's eLearning Welcome Letter.
Once you sign up for an online class, be sure to email your instructor (see the class schedule for who is teaching the class you signed up for and then visit our faculty page for that instructor's email). You can also visit Angel, the program used at South for online instruction, and begin to familiarize yourself with the layout and format. | South is happy to offer online tutoring for students enrolled at South. You can take advantage of this free service if you are taking online or classroom courses. For more information, click here.
