Web Production I
This quarter, I'm teaching nothing, though I usually teach CTN 160: Introduction to Web Publishing (Web Production I). I use a courseware product named "Moodle", and we use an editor called Pico on a server at freeshell.org. (Just in case you hear those names mentioned, now you know what they are.)
If that site's not available to you, there's a backup site at http://www.sisypheans.org/ctn160/, that has all the static information from the site. (In other words, it doesn't have discussion groups, blogs, etc., just course notes.)
Wondering where to begin? Probably with the syllabus, which along with all the other class materials, is on the Website. You'll also find a list of class expectations. The Part one expectations cover what needs to be done during the first week.
It usually takes
about a week to get things set up on courseware. Let me know if you
have any problems accessing the course. Meanwhile, if you don't have an
account set up here at http://students.southseattle.edu,
please go to that site and follow the instructions to set up your email
and a portal page; you'll likely need use of those for several of your
classes. There are several links to help if you need assistance.
And, of course, if you need anything--anything at all--there's always http://www.zombo.com/.
